How can i verify this golf club?

my dad is best friends w/ former PGA star and Master Professional Dave (or david) McQuade. anyway, he is the head golfer at a naples course called Colliers Reserve. like i said, my dad knows him well, and dave gave my dad a golf club, my dad used it, liked it, and dave told him it was tiger woods'. it is a club from when he used titelists. there isnt a scracth on it; its beautiful. only the best for the best. so my dad was able to keep it and i want to know how i can verify it was tiger's, and how much it would be worth

tiger did turn pro and played with titelist irons . nike did not manafacture clubs until they purchased bank rupt canadian club manafacture accuform . if it does not have a serial number on the hosel , pro tour use only . also check the grip . if tigers it would have a golf pride grip , with the lettering on the back of the club . not sure but good possibilty of iron carrying initials . t w on club . if it has serial number no chance . good luck . thank you .

Check the serial # with Titleist......They may be able to help you out on this one.

Pretty difficult to do.  First, it might help if your dad could find out when his friend got the club.  Was it when Tiger was still an amateur, or after he turned pro.  I think when he turned professional, he signed a multi-million dollar contract with Nike and think that included golf clubs.  Could be mistaken. The problem is, I think, how someone could identify the club as one that, Tiger Woods played. This no reflection what so ever as to the integrity of the PGA Professinal that gave your dad the club. I guess if I was in this situation, I would take it and never ever play with it, and be honored that he gave it to me.  

I, also have some older clubs, not from anyone this famous, but somewhat rare and can't find out there worth in the market. Told to put them on ebay and see what they bring.  Now, if you were to do this, it would have to be verified as a club played by, Tiger Woods.
