  1. 1> Have your boy/girlfriend get up earlier and cook the best breakfast for you (if possible);

    2> Make sure he/she goes to gym with you and watches you from one of those secret corners in the gym.

  2. go to bed sooner. and then when your up, eating breakfast, turn on your favorite radio station. it will get you all hyped up if you start dancing to it.

  3. Whatever you do, don't drink coffee before a volleyball event, or anything with physical exertion. The caffeine will cause you to dehydrate faster than normal - be careful!

  4. before tourneys my team get up at six gets ready has breakfest at 630 and we all go for a walk around the hotel parking lot or where ever we are. like a 15-25 minute walk. It helps get your blood flowing. thats for a game at 8. We seem to play a little better for it.

    for practice maybe so a little earlier and walk around the gym or hit against the wall so when you do warm ups as a team you should really get awake by the end of that.

    energy drinks are bad.

    everyone is tired for morning practice at some point.

    maybe do a core workout before you go or do something that makes you feel good after that will help to wake you up. or make a plan for something fun after so you are excited for your day!

    Good Luck!

  5. cold shower

  6. You need to get your blood flowing.  Try running or some type of excersise that will get your heart rate up.  But don't overdo it or you will be too tired to play.

  7. try going for a jog early in the morning. it will get your blood flowing, and ready to play. and then stretch after. dont do coffe or energy drinks in the morning. its not good before you work out. drink and energy drink like gatorade at practice, but not before. eat a health breakfast and stay warm and ready and you should do fine

  8. Bedtime needs to be at 10:00pm and you need to up at 6:00am to start your body.

    Eat a small breakfast and add some fruit with it.

    Coffee and energy drinks don't help prepare for any sporting activity. Energy drinks replace what you have lost. You shouldn't drink sports drinks until the sweating begins. The best thing to drink before is water and eat a banana. This will hydrate you and help with muscle cramping.

  9. I know that this will probably sound absolutely ridiculous, but when I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning, my dad would come in my room and slip an ice cube down the back of my shirt! It made me so mad, but it worked! Also, when I am getting ready in the morning, I blast some really energetic music (try Boys Like Girls). At practice, if someone sees another girl not paying attention and zoning out, we have permission to throw cold water on them! It's so fun, but it really stinks if you are the one to get drenched!

         Make sure you are eating a good breakfast to get your energy revved up. I know that when I don't eat breakfast, I seriously cannot do anything.

  10. hmmmmm, ever thought about setting an alarm clock!?

  11. What you want to do here is to set the alarm early enough so that you have time for a proper breakfast.  This will give you the energy you need.  Coffee and energy drinks don't work nearly as well.  You get a jag from them but then you crash about an hour later.  Food is the best bet.
