  1. Vinegar in a bucket of water, will maintain the color this is done usually after coloring cloths so the color doesn't come of.

    Take care

  2. If you soak in Cold salt water for a half hour or so,its supposed to help hold the color longer.

    Good Luck

  3. Turn your your clothes inside out and set wash and rinse water temperature to cold water.  Also use the gentle setting so the clothes won't rub and cause too much friction between the clothes.  I also use Woolite (the one that says it's best for dark clothing or use whatever detergent that is specified for dark clothing.)

If I hang dry (I have an outdoor clothesline), again I hang them inside out as not to increase fading from the sun.

    That's what I do.

  4. you can do that if you have Miele washing machine i tried it and it is very good for dark clothes as it have spechial program for dark graments and it have option program its name (water plus ) this option is very very good for dark clothes .

  5. use color stay soap

  6. I agree with Nab that the most important thing is to turn the clothes inside out prior to washing. The drier causes fading also. If possible, hang dark clothes to dry without the drier. Either that or dry just until damp dry, then hang. Also realize that some clothes have dye designed to fade. When purchasing clothing look at the pockets, especially with jeans. If the pockets have absorbed some dye, the clothes will fade. The sun also will fade dark clothing. For example, don't wear your favorite dark shorts eight hours fishing.
