How can i watch my movies from my camcorder on the computer?

i have a panasonic PV-GS14 and a sony dvc cassette and i connect the camcorder to my computer but it only shows pictures, but there is a MRK file in MISC. How can i watch my movie on my computer from my camcorder? Please help!! asap

a miniDV vcam must be FIREWIRE400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* software while vcam is ON PLAYBACK.  Note: DV or Firewire port of vcam is 4pin. Before cable purchase** (Vcam/4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC (4/ 6pin?), check pc for DV or firewire port, whether 4 or 6 pin. If none, install firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia for laptop.

For Vista/wmm6, t’is similar: Import/ Edit/ Publish/ WindowsDVD or Nero for authoring

Take the memory stick out, take it to office max, tell them to give you a USB connecter for it and plug it into your computer upload the video and watch it.
