keep the "smokey" part as close to the end of ur eyelid as possible and put some shimmer under ur eyebrow and it'll look FIERCE =]

you dont have to use black and grey (or silver) smokey doesnt mean dark neccessarily, it means smudgy and blended, so you can use taupe, chocolate colors, cream, honey, tans, any palette really, just keep it soft, then the key really to making it subtle is that you dont need to use blush at all if you dont want, if you do just use a light natural one, same goes for bronzer just really neutral, and when you put on lipstick, wear a nude color (or a color that matches your natural lips) other wise just use a sheer gloss

Using black to create a smokey eye will look more dramatic so you could do something like this:

using a different color other than black would be appropriate such as browns or purples. personally, i think purples make a nice daytime smokey eye (:

try using diffa colours like blues, purple or brown. u cud try using softer shades of the colours
