Question:

How can i wire a 12" w7 svc?

i know + to + ....- to -.....but is there any other way to wire these subs to get the most power. or there is only one way?

  1. if you go to crutchfield.com there is a section that shows you how to bridge the amp or sub to get the most power out if it...but yes it is pos to pos and neg to neg.  if you really want the best get a bigger amp.


  2. One (SVC) Single Voice Coils can only be wired two ways, standard + to + & - to - OR reversed polarity + to - & - to +. Connecting them "reverse polarity" will only reverse the direction the speaker travels. Both ways result in the same resistance(ohms).

    You would an additional SVC woofer or a DVC woofer to be able to change the overall resistance and effect performance.

    IF you have a 2 channel amp that can be bridged to output all the power to one channel you want to connect the woofer to the amp by following the instructions for bridged applications. On most amps you just connect to the speaker to the amps speaker terminals that are marked "bridged" and switch the selector switch to bridged\mono.
