Not only does it have to be 12 volts, but about 10 amperes as well.

The supply will run around $40

Im sure you can, you just need a converter of volts to power up the stereo.

Oh, i just remembered Best Buy and Circuit CIty they have car stereo on display, you remember?

They  might know how u can power supply the car stereo without burning it.
