  2. hmmm i askedd my self that question a while back

    i do MMA and i noticed that i lost cuz my punches werent hard enuf

    so i got a home punchin back and i pounded it for 2 hours straight, while i punched it i had weights on my arms and wrist

    if you dont have a punchin bag justt get weights and punch the eair shadow box it will makee it better

  3. forget the weights and use the heavy bag and perfect your technique timing and pressicion if you get that right then the power will be there the punch will land and it will be on the button then he will fall trust me he'll be spitting out teeth

  6. honestly. work on timing and your form that you use with throwing punches. most people try to become only stronger and use blunt force to knock out someone and that is only part of it. perfect your power shots and the form you use. utilize your hip and shoulder movement to almost perfection. a half-a** uppercut that lands while a guy is ducking will become a atom-bomb if just timed correctly.

  7. Doing weights and increasing your muscle mass may increase your power, but it will also slow you down. Getting your technique right will also help, but some people are just not hard punchers. Look at Paul Malignaggi, he's one of the best light welterweights in the world and his punches are like being tickled with a feather duster.

  8. If you are doing your own training then I would suggest wrist weights, and work on the heavy bag with an extra  4 or 8 oz or even a lb, but I would work up to a LB so as not to possibly tear a muscle.

    Work on the bag to try and develop as much punching power in both arms as you can, also, do extra work with your best punch. After  you work on  the heavy bag, put the weights on your ankles and and do some running, then some leg lifts, the strength of a power punch is in your legs and your arms working together , it's the push off your legs that creates the leverage to deliver a solid punch.
