  1. It would be helpful if we knew what this is for.

    Did you make an appointment for a client and are you sending them a letter of confirmation?  Type up a standard business letter on your company letter head or send them an email from your company e-mail and make sure the contact information for your company is on the email.  Put in the time, date, and brief description of the services that will be rendered.  If possible include a confirmation number.

    Is this for an appointment that you are making at an organization such as for a sales call or a job interview?  Type up a business letter and include your contact information and the reason and brief description of the visit.  Mail the letter to the appropriate reason at least a week before the meeting.  After a few days call the person and verify that they got the letter and confirm that the meeting is still going on.


  2. If you have an appointment it is better to confirm that you will be there on the date and at the time mentioned by phoning the company and by stating what this call is about.. if it's a job interview then tell them what job it's for and your name and that you confirm the time of the appointment.. and read to them again the time and date and make sure they have your name then you don't have to write to confirm
