The main purpose of this is for reducing the % fat in adipose tissue in HUMANS.

  1. Lipolysis is the breakdown of fat stored in fat cells. During this process, free fatty acids are released into the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body. High metabolically active tissue then can use fatty acids in aerobic respiration.

    The following hormones induce lipolysis: epinephrine, norepinephrine, glucagon and adrenocorticotropic hormone. These trigger 7TM receptors, which activate adenylate cyclase. This results in increased production of cAMP, which activates protein kinase A, which subsequently activate lipases found in adipose tissue.

    The safest way to trigger the release of these hormones:  exercise.

    But exercise is the best and natural method. Hormonal injections like Adrenalin cause lipolysis but not selectively lipolysis. They also cause simultaneous hyper metabolism in muscles causing wasting of muscles. Liposuction is fashionable but not very effective.
