How can me and my friend get into acting ?

we both want to do acting how do we get into it ? thankyou x

Stage Acting or Camera Acting? No matter, each one requires the same or similar skills.

*dance classes (tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre dance class

* singing lessons (which help to develop your voice)

* choir (introduces you to many different types of music and songs)

* acting classes  (for obvious reasons)

* school drama club / school drama elective classes which teach the basic fundementals of being an actresss and teach to all: the beginning actress or experienced thespian.

* audition for many different plays at your local community theatre, school, and or church. The more plays that you get into the more you'll be able to put on your resume' thus the more experience you will have, the better roles you will get and you will be able to get an agent easier which will help you to find acting jobs such as commercials, casting calls, auditions etc.

You're going to have to dedicate a lot of your life to this if you REALLY want to do it!!! I wish you two the best of luck!

WOW! let me just say its a LOT of hard work and can be very nerve racking and stressfull. i acually got an audition for disney and they LUVED me! i was SO SO SO happy. that was just today actually on Sat. so u need to start easy like i did. do a LOT of acting camps, and keep doing them for a few years, then go on to small plays, then bigger plays, then pick a path.... t:v or broadway stuff? ur choice. i chose t:v cause i luv working with cameras... ect!
