  1. You yourself would be best to set her up on an e-mail through yahoo or hotmail.  I suggest you do it so you can set restrictions, not make her address public, and you both agree on a password.  I'd store the password in a file for reference at anytime.  I set up an e-mail for my daughter, but told her that I had a right to go into it at anytime to check on it.  She would never change her password, and would know the consequences to that.  It's working out within my comfort, and she's happy too.

  2. she can set her own e-mail up through hotmail.  on yahoo they have a family site that the parent can set up e-mail for the children.  I did that with my 11 yr old  daughter.

  3. Im wondering what the context of your question actually is.  Did you find out your 10 year old is getting emails or ar eyou looking for ways for her to get an email. If you never set up an account and are upset to fnd out she has en email account, Im not suprised.  I have had 8 year olds show ME how to use a remote control, cell hone features, etc.  You just have to beat her to the punch, find out WHERE she is going that has computer access.  And then cut her off there.

  4. you need to have her sign up for an email service such as yahoo or hotmail.

  5. go to yahoo, msn, google or aol and set up a account

  6. You just add her to your account or sign up for a free service like yahoo or g-mail.  My daughter will be nine and has had her e-mail for over a year so that she could keep in touch with international friends.

  7. Set up an email account for her.

  8. Subtract ten years from her birth year. She was born in 1988, not 1998.

  9. When my younger kids were getting set up for an email we set up a family account.  All family members had access to the account.  It was agreed on and was no problem.  When they turned 16 they got their own accounts, however I had the passwords.

They knew that I could look at thier emails anytime. I went on ever week. I never told them, I just checked out where they had been, history and stuff like that.   It's what keeps them accountable and your sanity in tack knowing that they are behaving.

  10. sign in to your own email account. click on more yahoo services. then scroll all the way down to -F- and double click on Family accounts. You can from here add other emails to your account and see to it your daughter isnt sending any inappropriate emails!
