  1. 1. You first need to get married in a registry office in thie, not the embassy.

2 you have to show that you can support your wife in the UK at the british embassy. this will include 6 months worth of wage slips. your bank statments.

3 you need to have a house, you must show that you have somewere to stay and somewere for her to stay. the house must be surveyed by a professional and a report made.

4 a copy of the house deeds to state that the proporty is yours. if it isnt, you must also get a letter for all owners and residents that you and her can live there.

5you must take all this to the british embassy or immigration office in thai for her to get a 2 year visa. she will get a spouce visa. her student visa will no longer be valid, or work. you can not get married if she has a student visa (trust me it will make things totally impossible later, dont do it on that visa, make sure everythik is 100% right)

6 once she is in UK, she will have to learn english and take a english test. you will have to register your marrage and do the test within 2 years. once she has been hear for 2 years, she will take a immigration test and then if she passes get her permenent stay visa.

    EDIT_

you have to hold a valid british citizenship, if you dont you cant marry hear or live hear.

  2. As the wife of an EU citizen, she will be able to apply to the Home Office for indefinite leave to remain.  This is granted provided the Home Office believe that you marriage is genuine.

  3. how did you get to stay in the UK permanently? Get her to use the same process you did. I would say it was automatic but your not british so I don't know. You have to get married twice?

  4. If you have a UK passport or have your immigration it shouldn't be a problem. call UK immigration and find out what you have to do. Of course there will be a bunch of forms to fill out and such. not sure how UK immigration law works. best thing you can do is call or go to the immigration office and find someone to help you and tell you what to do.

You could also talk to an immigration lawyer, they know everything. You should do that first in my opinion

  5. Why do you want to live in the UK, whats wrong with Lithuania or Thailand?

I guess you'll have to get jobs if you want to stay here and she'll have to get a visa.  Or you'll have to get a job and prove you can support her with no recourse to public funds.

  6. So U think its That Easy To get a Permanent Residency in the UK ?

FIrstly U will have to Fill OUT COA forums and send them To the Immigration office. Since both of u are not UK citizens Both of u will have to pay a Fee of 550 Pounds each. That's 1100 Quid ! Non-Refundable. Then they will review ur case And decide If U 2 can Get Married in the UK are not !

  7. the way to make your wife stay here is to get a good lawyer

  8. why don't you both go home?

f*ck off tatiana, thats why Ive got 8 thumbs up, and you've got 3 down, you diickhead.

  9. I did not read all your question & I assume that your relationship is good & fine.

The problem is that loads of people are taking the p**s, so good normal relationships have to suffer.

I hope you & your wife do have some luck with the immigration service.

The people who are honest suffer, the liars prevail. Just look at the government!

  10. you need to speak with someone on some kind of immigration committee this is very serious! and you want to get the most acurate advice..

  11. You have to apply for a residents Spouse visa, which costs many hundreds of pounds.  You also have to prove beyond the balance of probabilities that your family can support itself without any State support, that you both have a good command of the English language, and that you both can pass the citizenship test (not many British people can).  They can and do take the money and refuse the visa out of spite, but at least you can appeal.

If you find it easier, being a Lithuanian citizen, then please let me know.  I have been trying for years to get a visitor visa for my Filipina girlfriend, and have faced nothing but obstacles, bloody-mindedness and bare-faced theft from the British authorities.  It may be easier if I move somewhere in the EU more enlightened, like maybe Lithuania?!

  12. if you are both students and have visas  to study

    howwill you support yourself

as the hours you can work on a student visa is limited to 20 hours

how will you pay for flat

it is not likely she will get indefinate leave to reamin

am sure you will need permission to marry from home office.

and marriage may not be reognised.

why cant she go with you to your country or you to hers neither countrys will put either of you at risk

9 months is not long to know a person and the home office will see that

  13. Go to immigrations and tell them you intend to live in the UK on a student visa. They will help you right out with no issues!i

  14. You both need to get on a plane and leave. Thank you.

  15. You married your thy?

  16. lol did u buy her off the internet

  17. You need some specialist advice on this matter - suggest you go to your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

However, you are Lithuanian and hence, I assume, you are here exercising your EU Treaty rights as a worker. In which case you will be able to apply to the Home Office to allow you to bring your Thai national wife to the UK to stay with you.

However you will have to get permission from the Home Office to get married in the UK and I suspect that once married you will have to make an application for her to remain in the UK - or alternatively, she will have to leave the UK and then you apply for her to be allowed to join you. Once she is here then you might want to consider applying for a residence permit - that way your presence in the UK gets recorded and you can apply for British Citizenship after the appropriate number of years (if you want to).

... as I said - too complicated an issue for discussion here - go and get some expert advice on exactly what you need to do
