How can my band get more myspace hits?

Question

We've exhausted our friends lists to get friends on our band's page and now I want people to add us because they like our music. I want new fans to tell their friends about our page because they like what they hear. I don't want to randomly try to add people and *hope* that they don't report us for spamming, I just want to get us heard.

Put your music on your myspace

Use other sites with links to your myspace

Try and be a top friend on a popular or famous persons myspace (Tom will get you alot if you ever managed)

Ask myspace to make yours the featured profile.

Well record a demo and put your myspace address on your demo's. If people like what they hear on CD they will look you up on myspace.

Add yourself onto a few w***e trains (find those on google)

i just checked it out,

you need to put more songs

also, a feminst band may not be in everyones likes

as a woman i like it but some of my friends here at my NYU dorm felt it was anti-men music.

Advertise in forums, music blogs and share nice music with people. Don't spam them with 'take a look at our site, add us, visit our page!' instead, share your music and some fun photographs or sort to attract people.

Take out cheap newspaper classified ads that just say "Hey!  Check out our band at (myspace page)...

Simple and cheap...
