How can my brother who lives in Thailand get an associates degree in education? He's a US citizen?

Are online programs the best way or can he be a foreign student at a Thai university. He currently holds just a US high school diploma.

That's a tough one, but he would need to come home and study, most likely.

I lived there several years as a housewife as my husband's employer sent him there. I tried everything to study, work, anything....

Since a shift in the government 2 years ago, long term visas are very hard to come by and work and study permits are even worse :(

Not that I advise it, but diplomas can easily be bought on Khao San Road in Bangkok for about 50 bucks.

If he is there as a business owner, someone may look upon him more kindly to issue a student visa.

There are a ton of reputable TEFL programs if he wishes to be a teacher, but most places will not issue a work permit without the degree.

I hope he finds a way to make Thailand work for him, but it can be an uphill battle.

If he's dead set on remaining abroad, S. Korea and Indonesia have more relaxed rules for teaching.
