How can my cousin lose weight in 4 months??EMERGENCY?

my cuzin is 12 years old 125 pounds 5'3

she checked herself in the doctor and the doctors said she is overweight

she is going oN vacation and she needs to look her best and lose weight

She needs help

can U PLEASE help me resolve her PROBLEM!!

  2. An EMERGENCY.....is a heart attack, a broken leg, or a knife or gun shot wound...........

    Get real....vanity pounds are not an emergency.....

    That said....tell her, no candy, no cookies, No fast food,

    Go outside an get aerobic exercise, run,play tennis, work out on the neighborhood playground equip.....in other words only healthy foods & MOVE!

  3. This is not an emergency. An emergency means she will die in 4 months if she does not lose weight. She is not that badly over her weight and if she maintains, she will grow into that weight. Avoiding sugar foods, eating vegetables and fruits and exercise are the only healthy ways to lose weight. She can do this if she wants but in the long run, she is going to have to learn to love herself no matter if she is heavy or thin.

  4. well tell her to stop eating unhealthy and fattening foods. then try and walk with her in the mornings or do some biking together.

    And she also needs to exercise.

  10. This is bull.  No legitimate doctor would have told her she's overweight, and if he did, he would help her come up with a sensible weight-loss plan.    I am not going to give a 12 year-old advice on how to lose weight.  That's dangerous.  This is a job for her (i.e. your) parents.

    You are the 12 year-old looking to lose weight.  You have no idea what you're doing, and are trying to con people into helping you to hurt yourself.  You don't need to lose weight, certainly not in four months.  Did the doctor give you the time limit too?

However, in order to look "her best," get her active - go running, play basketball, take the dog on a walk. 12 year-old girls do not need to be worrying about getting thin, but rather staying healthy and active.

The easiest weight loss thing for me is NO SODAS, absolutely no sodas, even diet.  Also, she needs to not snack, only eat portioned meals and of course eating home cooked food is alot better than eating out.  But, seriously I dropped about 30 lbs. just doing that.  Also, I've found that walking is the easiest form of exercise and that helps alot too.  I wish her luck.

  19. She just needs to eat healthier. Try to drop the 2000 calories per day to 1500 calories. She also needs to exercise. You can't just lose weight in a snap of the fingers, you have to work for it.

    But seriously - at that age she should not be too worried. Eat healthy, get exercise. The rest is probably pre-teen puppy fat.

    She should relax and enjoy life instead of worrying about it. She's only 12!!

    cut out fast food (MCD, BK, Checkers, any drive thru)

    tell her to drink ALOT of water

    tell her to cut her portion sizes- makes a biiiig difference

    tell her to stretch her body out every night-legs, arms, stomach

    she'll be fine. she's only 12 for christs sake
