kids shouldnt get paid for cleaning their room

  3. let her invite a friend to help, and they can redocorate and move the furniture around, maybe paint

  4. Listening to music usually works..

  6. even if she did want money, she cant have fun cleaning her room unless she Really wants to clean her room. she could make it more enjoyable by listening to music or having a friend hang out with her while she cleans her room. But this still wont make it fun.

  7. if your dying for it to get done because its a mess... suggest that she moves her bed to the other side of the room or something.. but other then that music definately, threaten to do it yourself? unless thats what she wants? i always enjoyed cleaning my room when i was 13, i just thought of it as it was my room and i could do anything i wanted with it, decorate it or whatever..

  8. go to www.flyLADY.net heaps of ideas of how to make cleaning fun! (and not just for kids either!)

  9. are you crazy.

there is no way for a teen to have fun cleaning their room.

  10. Reward her with a movie night with a couple friends, something simple can be fun!

  11. you already asked this, and i already answered it.

    =.=

  12. uhhh dance while your doing it!

    just be goofy!

make a game does she have any siblings? if so make it a race, but the trick is you have to approve that its clean enough and things aren't just thrown in the closet (cause we all know we've done that) set up a check list and each thing as to be done.

and as a reward whoever wins gets to have a friend over(sleep over or just hang out)

    hope i helped

  13. Hide treats for her

  14. put some really loud music on!

    offer to paint her room!

    new furniture!

    offer to take her shopping!

  15. Tell her that if it clean, she can have something she wants... pet, clothes etc.

or just tell her that it needs to be tidy and after its tidy, take her to the cinema watch a film or something

    =)

  16. I put on music and dance while im cleaning

  17. she can turn on music and dance around as she cleans!

  18. ....

what kind of kid is that who DOESNT want money for cleaning???

what about clothes, games, shoes, bags,or going to some place like a theme park, movies, mall?

Or maybe make it fun to clean by helping her, have music on,make it a game-time how fast she can vacuum, dust,or throw away trash.give her money for every thing done right.

    10 for vacuuming,10 or dusting.

I know she wants money,EVERY kid wants money, especially for buying things they want.maybe give her 20 or 30 when she finishes cleaning.

  19. Give her options...like if she cleans her room is can do this_______ or this_______or she can spend more time on the phone or computer.  Maybe if you reward her,it will work a little.

  20. Duhh! Give her money :]]]]]

or take her to the mall or somethingwheneever she cleans without u asking

  21. Play music. Reward her somehow.

  22. Make it a game. For each item she picks up, or puts away, she earns points. And there has to be a maximum point system, and lets say it's 1000 or sumthing, once she reaches that, give her a prize, or write out a list of things she can do, and then she can pick one of them. Man, i think that would be fun!

  23. Make it fun, like giving her room a "makeover". Buy cute organizing bins, sheets, picture frames, etc. It will motivate her to keep her room clean.

If this doesn't work, you'll just have make her build the habit of cleaning her room. If you see ANYTHING out of place, nag her for it. It may seem harsh at first, but soon she'll get sick of hearing you nag and just clean up before you bother her again.

  24. like they said music is good!!! its her room and she should just do it.it shouldnt have to be fun.its her room and her job

  25. i am 13 and i dont need to clean up my room because i simply clean up after myself. tell her  that once she changes,to put her clothes in a basket or bin. that way they dont pile up on the floor. other things can simply go in a organizer drawer and it will be fun to find that place that i will go!

  26. tell her when she has a clean room there is room for people to stay over like a sleepover or something

or get her something she wants for her room when it is tidy and tell her that now her room is tidy there is room for it.

simple things like that will do

and I already answerer your other one but it was deleted for no reason :'(

    oh well

    I shall answer again!

  27. If her room is mainly messy because clothes and shoes are everywhere- which is usually a girl issue then inspire her to put new outfits together- very in vogue kinda stuff. Inspire her to redesign her room- you can get so much cute stuff at Target, TJ Maxx, etc. Maybe she doesn't like her "space" and isn't very inspired to keep it organized. This was my problem as a kid. My parents had all this mismatched, inherited furniture in my room, I got creative with paint, posters, etc and moved the furniture around and I keep my room clean after that.

  28. turn up the music.

even help her and make it fun like throw things around or something.

or reward her for it. then she'll do it more often.

  29. Time her or say there is a suprise if she does it!

The 'suprise' could be a chocolate bar or something sweet.

  30. I don't think fun is possible LOL

My daughter needs to clean her room if she wants privileges.

  31. I usually pop in a fun mixed CD and at the end of each CD is when I get to take a break. Then I pop in the next CD and start again.
