How can my family offer room in our homes to Gustav evacuees? What organization do I contact?

We live here in Northwest Arkansas and Have plenty of room in our homes for evacuees. Who do we contact to make that known?

Call the Red Cross.  I would also call the local newspaper and ask a reporter to interview you.

The Red Cross handles that.   Even in CA I was able to offer my home to Katrina victims through them.

Call your local hospital, police department, redcross, church etc.  Give them your name for future storms too.  They will keep your name and when they are full they will have you as a resource for a family. God bless you!
