Question:

How can my friend avoid a miscarriage ?

I have always gotten pregnant easily and have never had any issues keeping the baby and I realise that I'm so blessed. My friend has just found out that she is pregnant (she must be about four weeks) and although she is excited she is also nervous as she has had two miscarriages before and no full term pregnancies. What can she do so that she doesn't lose this baby ? We live in Fiji so we have no access to a miscarriage clinic or anything like that (and yes I have told her to go and see the doctor now). But I was wondering, are there any particular supplements or anything that anyone took that helped them to have a healthy pregnancy after miscarrying in the past ?

  1. she needs to see a doctor for that info

  2. Most likely there is nothing she can do as most miscarriages are NOT caused by something the mother does.  Most come from chromosomal abnormalities or just an unviable pregnancy.

She just needs to take care of herself physcially and mentally and get in to see a doctor when she can.  She does need to start prenatal vitamins with at least 800mcg of folic acid.  And stay hydrated with water.

  3. metformin
