How can my makeup last all day, and why doesn't it?

Question

I wear black mascara on the top lashes and black eyeliner on the inside of my top and bottom lids.

I use the Almay crayon, twisty type liner, because its hypoallergenic, so I'm not sure if I can really change brands.

I want to start wearing some eyeshadow again because my makeup wears off so quickly that I look like I'm not wearing makeup, so if I wear a bit of eyeshadow, at least that will last longer, but I don't want to over do it.

Any makeup ideas or ways to keep it lasting longer?

before applying eyeshadow,liner,and mascara try putting under eye concealer on your eyelids, it helps the makeup last all day hope it helps.

instead of wearing eyeliner you could use a bright eyeshadow like blue or pink or whatever really. the eyeshadow will last longer and you will most likely notice that your mascara doesnt fade.

Try an eye primer. I like Bare Escentuals Prime Time for eyes, but a lot of people like Urban Decay Primer Potion. Also try a waterproof eyeliner, it will have more staying power. I like Styli-Style, and again, Urban Decay also has a good one. Also set everything with a translucent powder after application, like Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil. Hope that helps!
