  1. Loads of options! More varieties of beans(chickpeas, black, red, kidney, etc.), lentils(amazing in soups!), any soy products like soy milk, soy burgers, temph, tofu, or flax seeds or flax oil, eggs, and cottage cheese.

  2. beans & peanut butter has protein in it as do a lot of nuts. so as long as she eats them she should be ok. or she could ask her dr whether or not she can take protein shakes or supplements to get protein into her system. its very important to have protein or she could seriously damage her baby

  3. She should speak to a nutritionist or a doctor about her diet.

The average woman need 55g protein per day. Pregnant women need an additional 5g of protein daily. She can get adequate protein by balancing her diet, eating a variety of foods throughout the day.

    Good protein sources for vegetarians:

    -veggie burgers

    -veggie sausages

    -cow's milk

    -cheese

    -yogurt

    -peanut butter

    -almond butter

    -cashew butter

    -peas

    -nuts & seeds

    -wholegrain cereals

    -potatoes

    -bread

    -lentils

    -pulses

    -free range eggs

    -soya milk

    -tofu

Bean & cheese tacos and pizza may not be the healthiest food choices, but they do provide protein. (I wouldn't recommend eating them every day). The foods listed above are much healthier protein sources.

  4. my gf recently gave birth to a boy, and she never once touched a piece of meat during the pregnancy.  she is now breast feeding him and his growth has been phenomenal.   beans, tofu, nuts, tempeh, seitan, etc... are a very good way of getting protein.

  5. Also a lot of green vegetables have protein in them, and if shes still not getting enough protein their are Vitamins she can take that will give her more than enough protein.

Though beans have like three times the amount of protein Meat does, so if shes eating beans then I don't see what the problem is?

  6. sesame tahini

    pure pea protein powder

    protein powder

    any nut buttter

  7. she can take sun chlorella, it can be pricey but its worth it in my opinion, i heard it can be 3-4 times more protein then beef per ounce, it can cost $35+ per 300 tablets of sun chlorella

  8. tofu, yogurt, nuts, legumes, mac & cheese......  Does ALL meat make her sick?  What about chicken or fish?

  9. Whey protein powder is very high in protein.  Mix with water and your usual flavor choices are Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry.  Most athletes make these as a protein shake after a workout.
