How can my sister and I convince my parents to let us move in the middle of the school year???

We live in New York City, in a townhouse worth more money than most people see in a life time. I go to a top private school like in gossip girl, to be precise 6th in the nation. I have a room bigger than some apartments. But my grades are not doing as well this year in seventh grade. I am 12, barely and the youngest in my grade. I play squash 3x a week as well as being one of the top swimmers on the school swim team. Yet i am doing poorly in latin and math and miss many classes for i have many medical problems. My parents fight about our house which is on 5th avenue because it is under construction when we could sell it now. I am on growth hormone because i was going to be a midget and i have many other health problems. My mom runs the largeset global lawfirm and my dad is a chinese procelin dealer/ retired lawyer it is impossible to convince them of anything but they would still be able to d

  1. Focus on your studies and let your parents decide what to do with the house.  They bought it, not you.

  2. parents make these kinds of decisions.  you can tell them what you want but you can't convince them.  trust me there are  many things you don't understand.

  3. ask your therapist

  4. You should be spending more time studying your Latin and attending the classes that your parents have paid for and less time trying to impress everyone with the fact that you play sports and swim.

Your parents are not the imaginary people you have portrayed to us here.

You sound very much like you wish you were spoiled and have a false sense of identity.

You should also let your parents know that you have sent out all sorts of false personal info about them.

Why not be a good boy now and go take the trash out for your Mom or help your Dad wash the car.

  5. What you should really be doing is applying that 145 IQ to improving your writing skills.  Your use of punctuation is atrocious, your ability to determine which words should be capitalized seems to have left you and correct syntax is a fantasy for you.

Top private school?  Please don't insult us any longer.  You weren't even able to click the check spelling button that would have made at least your spelling correct.

If you can't lie to a bunch of dimwitted morons you obviously think we are, how are you going to convince your highly educated parents that you need to move?  What your taking growth hormone has to do with your parents' townhome being under construction is unclear.  Why they fight about the construction is also a mystery, one that is not elucidated by your proclamation of veracity and announcement of your mother's law firm.

Let's dispense with the fantastical world you've created here and join reality.  You're not living in a millionare's townhome on 5th Avenue in New York City, you don't attend one of the top private schools in the country and you didn't mean to post this question in commuting because there isn't a commuting issue to address.  You, of course, knew that due to your powerfully adept mind which has been measured exactly how?

Law firms are not corporations with officers.  They are partnerships.  The partners own shares of the firm, with the managing partner responsible for day to day administrational duties.  Your mom isn't COO of anything.  Your dad probably doesn't deal porcelain (correct spelling) unless it's white porcelain and it's located in people's bathrooms...

  6. Right, because that's so believable.
