Question:

How can one's sleeping habits alter face shape?

If a person has a tendency to sleep on his or her left side, would that cause the left side (jaw) of his or her face to become bigger? (gravity, etc...)

And what about chewing habits? How would that affect a person's face shape as well?

I keep seeing these questions about the asymmetricalness(?) of the human face and I was wondering what would cause them.

Thanks. c :

  1. THIS CAN BE SEEN IN A CHILD IF THEY WERE NOT TURNED OVER TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE AT ALL.

OVER THE YEARS THE OPPOSITE SIDE IS DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OTHER.

  2. it is possible, but very rare. it is more common that people wear head gear to bed and it moves their jaw at night. it does not usually adjust someones facial structure. you would have to sleep in the exact same position all night every night which is rare.
