I'm talking about baseball, of course!

What particular feeling do you get when you feel the most connected to the beautiful pastime?

This might be a really broad question, but I'm leaving it open. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, the feelings and emotions a baseball game can give you is not like any other sport (don't judge me for that). So...you can discuss now :)

  1. I am the happiest when baseball season starts. I Count down the days until opening day. When the day finally comes It's like Christmas morning and your birthday all rolled into one.

  2. I personaly feel baseball is the best, for many reasons, first off the numbers alone, i am an absolute stat nut. I love stats, individual or team stats, and baseball is full of beutiful numbers. I mean just off the top of my head i can throw a number out their and i'm sure you all know what it is, like 755, 762, 2130, 2632, 56, and i could go on and on. I mean baseball holds itself and its numbers at such a high standard compared to other sports. Its everything about the sport, the image of a batter hitting a bomb, the emotion of a pitcher, the arguments between umps and managers, the no hitters, the walkoffs, the perfect games, the inside the parker, turning singles into doubles, the 4-6-3 double play, the unassisted triple play, the robbery of a home run, the tight pennant race, the smell of beer and hotdogs, the taste of beer and hotdogs, the humidity in the stadium, the crowd going absolutly nuts, the mid summer classic, home run derby, father and son going to a game, and last but not least the amazing talented players that play day in and day out for 162 games. If i missed something my bad, but i think i covered it for the most part. Baseball is like no other.

  3. I had never thought of that but you are right. I'm a true baseball fan, I love it when a player arrives to a milestone, I love it when there are 2 outs in the ninth losing by 3 and they start a rally.. even if it's not my team.  It's just how unpredictable the game is that makes it interesting. Everytime I see some old documentary about past eras in baseball makes me want to have lived during those times because it was actually a game, since now its more a business.  Players really cared about their teams because of heart, not because of what was getting into their pockets.  I just love baseball.

  4. it really i am a pretty young sports fan and i cheer on the leafs raptors and most of all the blue jays. there is no feeling like it and even though i live pretty far away i knock my parents to take me to a game at least once a year and it does not matter where you sit or if your team win for 9 innings you are completely absorbed in the games every hit and every pitch is a new oppurtunity. No other sports has so much drama so much time to really appreciate a moment. In hockey basketball, second chances are hard to come by but in baseball you have at least 3 at bats a game and can see 3 pitches an at bat. a game where sacrificing your self with a fly out is as appreciated as a home run. a game where anybody can win at any time never gives you a moment to relax (expecially with b.j on the mound in the ninth with runners on the corners with 2 outs and that david ortiz coming to bat) no other sports has so much history with all time great and legends a sports so proud that they grimace at the thought of barry bonds and his cheating ways taking the most celebrated record in all of baseball away from the hank aaron the most feared slugger of all time

so that is my feeling about baseball the best sports ever

  5. I get no emotions... its way to boring.. the only thing i feel is me yawning and falling asleep watching/playing it.
