How can one tell if their partner is a gold digger or not?

Now, seeing how many gold diggers are out there makes me not trust women. I've heard of successful men's lives going down the drain because of these gold-digging female dogs. I never want to fall victim of this.

How can a man tell if a woman is a gold digger or not? Could gold diggers be the reason why there's so much misogyny and distrust towards women?

If she seems interested in making and meeting  only  monied friends, if  she always expects you to shell out on dates or ask you to  buy her stuff even if there is no occassion, drop hints on stuff she wants or needs. Asks to borrow money for  things she doesn't really need.

It would be prudent not to think off all women as "gold-diggers" but they are out there unfortunately. You just have to go on what you observe. If the person seems to be very materialistic you should probably avoid them. If they are always insisting you buy things or give them money so they can buy thing themselves (I am referring to needless extravagances not necessities or the occasional nice thing) they might be a "gold-digger". You might not be able to tell by looking at them on the street but the buzzers will go off if you are in a relationship with one. Don't have hate and mistrust for all of them because of a few misguided people. After all there are a lot of good women out there.

I would have thought by the size of her paycheque and how much/often she spends YOUR money.

If she does not spend your money, earns her own and pays her way then I would say no.

Likewise, how does a woman distinguish between a childish, name calling,  nasty misogynist and a decent respectful man .... trial and error I guess.

Tell a woman you have lost all your money in some kind of financial crisis, stock plunge, etc. If she leaves you, she is a gold digger, if she sticks by you then she may be for real.

you can only tell that a woman is a golddigger if:

- she leaves u alone b/c you don't have enough money anymore

- she says things like "I love you" and other sweet talking phrases in order for you to give it all to her

- Ask you can you guys go to the mall for a while

-has alot of nice things and no job to support herself

-ask for a huge amount frequently and can't even give you an important reason, unless they make one up.

The list goes on and on. I had a friend who was like this and even cheated her dad out of his pocket for thousands of dollars and a few other men, and used her beauty for men to get her money.
