  1. You can look in your phone book for adoption agencies and children's home.


  2. Private adoption agencies are the alternative to the state system.  Why do you not want a child from the foster care system?  Do not believe the stereotype that they are tainted children...

  3. Why do you not want to adopt a child from state custody? We started doing foster care for infants, and have ended up adopting 3! We have brought babies home from the hospital and they are eligible for adoption. They are just babies. Healthy white babies too. Not that I care: one of our adopted daughters is an African-American very disabled little girl. It isn't the kids' fault they are in foster care. They need permanent homes and loving families too. I think that it is very close-minded to state that adoption from foster care is "bad." Kids are kids. They are all innocent and all need parents.
