You won't, ever, because as long as there are bad people, bad things will happen.  Pass all the laws you want, it won't completely stop it.

Plenty of laws already exist to prevent animal abuse as well as drugs, murder, rape, theft, etc but we still have them because we still have bad people.

We could all be vegetarians, but there is still going to be some guy who kicks his dog out there.

what life does a cow or chicken have being locked up in a small area?

also once the animal can not produce anymore (eggs or milk) it is then slaughtered.

promote for organizations that help animals. peta, aspca, humane society, or even your local animal shelter.

sorry to hear you hate meat, but i too hate animal abuse.  i just love meat though.  start by making police enforce the animal cruelty laws that all ready exist.

Thought was a forum to share knowledge and not a way to force your opinions upon others. While I agree there is animal abuse , and it must be dealt with. And being a vegetarian is your right. But berating people who choose to eat meat by inferring it is animal cruelty is not nice.
