How can people be so stupid sometimes?

What you are about to read I saw happen, police, ambulance, coastguards and air ambulance all involved, all because a man went out in a inflatable to sea with his little daughter, and there are signs all around the Skegness and Ingoldmells beaches warning people not to do it, a lot of life's have been lost, yet some idiots still do it, risking there own kids life's

I don't know what people like this are thinking. I can't tell you the number of times I've been at the lake. The swim area is not extremely deep for an adult, but it is for little kids. Often I see an 5, 6, 8 yr old floating around on an air mattress, or w/ a noodle. The parents are nowhere to be seen. Then, after awhile some meathead dad starts screaming at his kid: what are you doing out there, get back over here!" or something to that effect. Why isn't the parent in the water with their child, and why don't they make sure he /she is wearing a life jacket or at least a pair of water wings? IDK! Some people seem to have NO common sense!
