are you so retarted, you think nrl players are short one of the shortest players in the nrl is matt bowen and he is like 171 cm, average height of a male us citizen, and for your other point about nrl players being g*y........um your sport again because your players are the ones that enjoy leaping over men to catch balls.

  1. AFL is the only real Australian sport and not a poor imitation of American football.

Hey Eggman in case you didn't know there are more than 2 states in Australia I don't come from Victoria or NSWs.

Also Rugby was started in Britain.

We are the only code called Australian Rules so we are the only true Australian sport except if you count boomerang throwing.

  2. Its only the Mexicans that like it, but can u blame them?

With the weather, sport and beer they have down there it is obviously affecting there ability 2 think clearly

  3. Because they are all weak pu$$y's and blind, deaf retards

  4. Becoz the AFL boys are better looking, have better bodies and are less likely to be g*y. whereas NRL boys are mostly ugly, pretty dumb, are stocky and kinda short. they seem to have more fun in bed with the boys then with us girls. oh yea and AFL players actually have ball skills and know where to kick the ball..... most of the time.

  5. the afl is far more skilful

to play league all you need to do is run and tackle and have a hard head

only one player in the team needs to be able to kick....and even he misses it half the time

  6. Mainly where they grow up, but I like League because its not messy and its all or nothging, no c**p 'I'll give you point for trying.'

Don't get me wrong AFL players are well and true athlete's and would make an NRL bloke look like a ***** in any long distance things. But I just can't handle that the ball is on the ground more than in someone's hands.

  7. Re: "AFL is the only real Australian sport and not a poor imitation of American football."

    Oh Molly you pathetic LOSER!!!

Rugby League has its origins going back to the 1850's, where as American padded-up-girly football the 1890's. Rugby league, now known as the NRL, started in Australia in 1908 as we know it, yet the American padded-up-nancyboy football in 1920!!

You sound like a typical 'spoilt brat' melbournite!!

Personally, i am and always will be a Rugby League man!! But, there are things that make AFL better, and things that make NRL better.  Its all a matter of taste. In Sydney we are accepting of ALL sports, not a bunch of spoilt brats who blindly stick to one code/sport only (Hello Melbourne).

    Be accepting, and be Australian!!

  8. Who knows, Finally Barry Hall tried to add some toughness to AFL and gave a fellow player a friendly tap to get the game going and the AFL community acts like he got in his car and ran the whole team down. With a sport that cant handle a bit of rough stuff, its a wonder anyone likes it...

  9. I am a RL fan myself, but to call AFL a 'pansy' sport just goes to show you have never played it. You need ultra stamina to play for twice the leng of time almost that a RL match takes. Everyone has their likes & dislikes, try to understand each other's tastes & you will get on OK.

Edit: Eggman, you sure put that well! lol

  10. I've been to a few AFL matches and the advantages - for the spectator - are

    1) More stoppages (waiting for TV to allow the green light on a ballup once goal scored etc) - so more time to get beer from the bar

    2) Longer playing time - so more time to get beer from the bar

    3) Extra breaks - 4 Quarters - so more time to get beer from the bar

  11. Dalethomaslover, you are a goose. What a load of unmitigated garbage you do go on with. All sports & sportsmen are equal in that they are out there doing something while you sit at home & drool over someone you don't even know. As for RL players being 'short', I would like to point out that most are average size, AFL players aren't. And to the asker, AFL is not a sport for weaklings, so don't get off with that idea. Just go easy on other peoples favourites, it's no skin off your nose who likes what.

  12. lol too tru.. its illegal to tackle above the waste, all they do is run around like girls jumpin on each others backs..worst sport in the world. nrl is the maddestt!

and um all u afl idiots all say u need to be fit.. u poofs take breaks like 4 or wateva times threw the match!! nrl players work non stop and get 1 break.. use just run around in circles kickin the ball away from each other.. its not physical at all use are all just faggyy girls who dont have balls thats y use arent scared of a ball droppin out ur 2 centimeter long shorts.. all fagggotts i say!

  13. ha.. being a melbourne girl.. this agrument is never ending.. and of coarse i get ganged up on coz im the odd one out.. but im a loud and proud league supporter and if people enjoy watching ariel ping pong them so be it... they just dont realise what they're missing...

  14. I agree, NRL is so much more entertaining to watch.

    NRL Rocks!!!

  15. if they had soo much "ball skills" why do they give people points for missing goals?

    NRL > AFL.

  16. You goose.

You posted it on the main board as well as the rugby one.

To answer you question AFL supporters wouldn't even consider going to the rugby section.

  17. Because their idiots

  18. NRL Is the best the physicality, you dont need to be tall or overly fit. Just need to drop people.

  19. It's because they are Mexicans and West Victorians.

Also they never get to represent Australia.

Nothing more than a club competition really.

Go the Canberra Raiders and ACT Brumbies

  20. Afl's way batter mate

  21. More importantly James, How can people like League over Union?? It's just such a pansy sport and nowhere near as exciting.

If you want to follow a real sport, why the heck are you wasting time watching NRL?

  22. sure there are some good hits in the afl, but they are few and far between!! it just doesn't compare to the toughness of NRL
