  1. Yes those fans are there now... but what about when the team was bottom of the barrel what about b4 the team had sydney crosby.

    Your a true fan.

Can you honestly name 5 players from the team b4 crosby showed up.

  2. im a real penguins fan. =/

  3. lubers hit the nail on the head, pittsburgh almost lost their team due to there non support, and it's quite easy to sell out when you finally get a good run in the playoffs, and this c**p about the redwings fans coming out in the playoffs is c**p, here in detroit we have been blessed enough to have a contending team for almost twenty years now, we almost ritually win the trophy for best regular season record which is something most teams would be thrilled to get, we are just more interested in the playoffs.....it's what happens when your team sets such a high bar ....Go Wings.....

  4. It can be said because 4 years ago when the team sucked, they were struggling to put 10K in the building.  The attempts to move the team were more than just a ploy to get a new building.  The team was in serious trouble and was not getting support from the fans anywhere near the degree they are getting now.  It's easy to sell out a building when the team is in first place.  Show me 75 in a row for a last place team and I will show you a truly loyal fan base.

  5. You know, I am going to say it.

This whole season I've been answering questions, and I have to say.. I've seen WAY more Pens fans on here than Wings' fans. AND what's more funny is. I didn't start seeing Red Wings fans until the playoffs and the Cup Finals.. SO YOU tell me who the fake fans are.

Infact I even made a comment several months ago on how I would have loved to have seen MORE hockey fans than the usual few, one of the teams I mentioned was Detroit. Because I wasn't seeing a lot of Detroit fans on here.

SO again. YOU tell me who the fake fans are.

GEE are these so called GREAT Wings fans going to be

here NEXT year, if their beloved team falls?

I'm NOT a huge Pens fan, BUT I have followed the Penguins since the days when they had Rob Brown. So I can say I am way more of a Pens fan than any of these so called Wings fans.

  6. Keith: You shouldn't base your opinion on how many people come here.  I didn't decide to come to these until I got into a forum for hockey, which was surprisingly during playoff time.  Look at the ratings, and seats, and all of that.  Don't base of off of the number of fans at Yahoo Answers.

  7. I didn't see many of you in the stands in the '60's when they were the Hornets. I can't imagine ANY Wings fan dogging Pens' fans when the Wings couldn't sell out play-off games not so long ago.

  8. Because when the penquins suck...go back to the arena and see the couple thosand people sitting there.

When there good...then they become fans..

    It's called bandwagoners....get it?

  9. how many of those fans were going to games when they were bankrupt 3 times?

  10. They couldn't sell until they got Crosby, and into the playoffs

  11. Are you joking I have seen way more detroit fans than penguins fans

  12. Simple. Those bandwagoners buy tickets which is why they sell out. W ehad  asimilar problem her ein Buffalo 2yrs ago

  13. Red Wing fans have stuck behind the team for the past 15+ years.

Pens fans are now just starting to root for them.

  14. because about 76 games ago it was all player's moms and tickets given away for charity
