  1. It's pretty bad, but only if you reuse the exact same spot.

  2. Queen Elizabeth I was among the first to use a handkerchief in England, and her courtiers were quite puzzled.  "the Queen keepeth her snots in her pockets" they marvelled.  She was also famous for the cleanliness of her person, her courtiers being heard to remark "The Quenn taketh a bath each month, whether she needs it or no!"  Habits change.  I was brought up on alcohol, tobacco and handkerchiefs.  A more modern upbringing might involve marijuana, cocaine and tissues.

  3. Yes you are....Yes you are...

  4. Gross. Use them for wiping wet hands only.

  5.   Some use their sleeves.

  6. You fold it and dont use the same spot twice. its not as gross as you think. It is better than forgetting to check your pockets before you wash your clothes and finding shredded kleenex all over the place.

  7. Yes exactly, imagine what it must have been like to wash them by hand before the washing machine was invented.

  8. I think they like wash them, but it is kinda gross. USE TISSUES

  9. You use it like you would your underwear.  It may get messy, but that is it's purpose.  Then you change them regularly.

Besides that, they did not have tissues a century ago.
