Adam Dunn was traded to the D-Backs and Paul Byrd was traded to the Red Sox after the trade deadline. Can someone give me a link to where in the rules it allows them to play in the post season?

  1. just sit back and enjoy the show the red sox are gonna put on, your yankees are done, i hate to break it to yankee fans but you will not win another title until you get rid of a-rod, why do you think after the world series Boston fans were chanting "DONT SIGN A-ROD RE-SIGN LOWELL"? its because we like winning and dont want to stop winning just to watch this little punk hit 40 HR a year

good question im not sure the answer

  2. The July 31st is the non-waiver trade deadline, all players traded before the real deadline of August 31st have to clear waivers before they can be traded.

They have to be on the active roster after September 1st to qualify for postseason play, this is how players like Shane Spencer and Andruw Jones could make significant impacts in the postseason when they were called up on September 1st.
