How can rain damage man?

Im doing a home study and i need to know how rain can damage man

Acid rain becomes a problem when rain is made very acidic by sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides - harmful gases caused by humans. The sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides react with water in the atmosphere forming sulphuric and nitric acids. These acids then fall to earth dissolved in rain.

Acid rain can irritate eyes and skin. Plus it can give you a bad case of the sniffles. I'm a lifeguard and I stand out in the rain all the time and the only thing it does to me is get me pissed that I'm standing in the rain.

I guess rain can be harmful to humans since  it can erode bridges and rust structures that can then lead to collapses. Bridges need constant inspections and fresh coats of paint to stop these.
