How can record distorted lead on the computer without getting hiss?

I use a Vox tonelab and a 4 track "soundcraft" mixer. My leads always get hiss. How can I get rid of iT?

  1. i record using a PC so i would say if you own one use wave lab because it has effect plug-ins that clean hiss or any tones you don't want. Now if you have effects in you mixer you should be able to clean up the sound.
