I mean I know that they try to get you to buy a time share and all that, but don't they know that most people go just to get the free trip? So wouldn't that mean they would lose money? How does that work? It would be a great idea for a vacation lol

  1. its something they put into their budget. its a way of getting you hooked on that hotel or resort. also they dont give away alot of trips, maybe 3 or 4 per yr. and they give you a date during a slow period of time or when their rooms arent rly in demand

  2. Word of mouth marketing.  It's cheaper than running ads and if you are really impressed you will go back and tell your friends and family.

  3. Nothing is free....

  4. Time share sales pitches are dreadful, you wouldn't want to sit through it twice!! But they know you will also spend money on drinks and food and stuff, i don't think they loose out. They will make enough sales to cover the people who don't give in and commit to the program.

  5. The "free" trips usually require payment in the end.  They build in tons of extra fees and restriction to discourage people from even taking the so-called free trip.

  6. They budget for it and only give away a certain amount of free trips a year. Plus if you like it you/your friends may come back. Hotels that do this usually charge their clients a really inflated price anyway, plus what they spend on food/drinks/room service, they make up for it in the end. Also they give the free trips away in the off-peak period when the hotel is not busy (they would NEVER give away a free trip during their peak times)
