How can road tolls be prevented if not stopped?

i mean road toll in Australia as in the road accidents in Australia not tha outher u POOBUM!!

  1. Raise taxes to maintain the roads so that tolls aren't necessary.

  2. Accidents can be prevented if...

    1) People would pay more attention to their driving rather than their cell phone or whatever.

    2) Make defensive driving courses a requirement prior to getting a driver license.

    Accidents stopped...

    This can only happen by removing people from the driver seat. This means a computer is controlling all aspects of the car...throttle (gas), brakes, steering, etc. Essentially the car would be on "autopilot". ..but what happens if the computer fails or malfunctions? A wreck of course.

    Quite honestly, I wouldn't be happy if a computer did all the driving. I love cars and driving (the twisties are fun!). Besides that I'm not willing to trust a computer with my life.
