  1. Birds.....

  2. Fish rain. Some times, fish come from sky with rain or typhoon. It is scientifically recorded phenomenon.

  3. Fish eggs can stay alive without water for seasons. If that area had fishes in the previous rainy season from water run overs, then the eggs can hatch in this season.

  4. Are you near other sources of water?  Did you recently have a hurricane or typhoon?  Do you have a lot of birds?  Or did someone put the fish there?  There are many possible explanations.

  5. Maybe they are tadpoles?

  6. If you are certain that there is no subterranean connection for fish to get there and if you're certain that it was NEVER connected to other bodies of water, then the fish were put there by a human or some other animal.  A baby pelican lost his lunch over the hole.

How do water snakes which hibernate NOT drown when the water behind the Mississippi river's levee rises each spring? Even in hibernation, they still have to breathe. The snakes are back there.. their hibernation holes fill with water.  It is too cold for them to move, so they can't vacate, yet they don't drown, and they're back year after year.  They don't cross the levee en masse, prior to hibernation, or this would be noticed as the levee is literally right in my back yard.  Another mystery.
