How can scientists determine if a young man is best suited to follow Sciences or Humanities?

I have heard that serious Russian scientists can advise a young man whether to follow Sciences or Humanities (i.e.that he is best suited for either), by simply looking and talking to him. How do they do it?

  1. You can take tests such as the Meyers-Briggs Personality Profile, which will give you an inkling as to whether you have a bent for one or the other but I wouldn't put much stock in them (for that) or in anyone's opinion. The best scientists I've ever known also had an affinity for the humanities. Without that leavening, you are not a scientist but a technician.

you can get much information in this website, kindly stay a minute in website and check anyone blue link at a time

  3. Looking wouldn't tell them much, but talking with them and asking questions about what they like and don't like, and what they're good at can be very revealing.  That's what a guidance counselor does.  Then there's school grades and a myriad of tests.  Then there's working at both and seeing what works best for you.

  4. This is almost certainly not true. I am not calling you a liar, but I am saying anyone who claims they can make such a judgment with accuracy is lying.

In answer to "How do they do it?" - They guess.
