  1. Friction, momentum, acceleration, terminal velocity, tension.  Friction between your board and snow, ice, rails, boxes.  Tension in your board when you ollie.

  2. it can be scientific in many ways i think the most scientific part is the wax on the bottom of the board and how it helps a snowboard move faster down the slopes

  3. It's just physics and geometry

  4. im sure you've thought of the physics involved. friction and momentum for going off of jumps is a good example

  5. shifting ur weight makes the board move?? sciency a bit i guess. how people break arms and legs!!! thatd be fun!!! id do that!!!!

  6. Terje just got the world record in the quarterpipe by using science.  He had scientists figure out how to design a quarterpipe with optimal conditions to get the most height possible out of the quarterpipe.

Google it.  I know it was in either transworld snow or snowboarder recently.  The article talks all about how the scientists went about it, including scientific terms.

    Good luck!

  7. F=ma;  Force = mass x acceleration====so the amount of force with which you crash into a tree is equal to your weight(mass) x how fast you're going (acceleration)..in other words , the larger you are and the faster you're going , the harder you hit that pine tree in front of you!!!!!
