How can so many Americans still back bush and the republicians?

Ron Paul got more initial support than McCain but he did not become the Republican nominee.  Ask yourself why.

Yes, but the Bush followers are more outspoken than most. I think the people affected by Bush's failed policies will come out in droves to get the republicans out of the White House. Remember, in 2006, the voters came out to give the Democrats the majority in congress. Now it is time to get Bush and McCain and all the others who have an agenda that doesn't have Americas best interests in it, out of the White House. I do think a lot of the American public is scared to make changes, but at this point, I don't think they have much choice, because the alternative is 4 more years of failed policies, a stagnant economy, high gas prices, war in more than one front, and scandal after scandal in the White House while our constitution is being trampled. I think the choice is clear!

He is an excellent president. He has kept us safe from terrorists. Say what you want about the economy, but he brought us out of the Clinton recession, the unemployment rate is higher then the average over the last 40 years. The dollar is climbing back up and oil is going back down. He had a plan and it is playing out. I'm sad to see him go but I like what we have coming in McCain and I reallllllllly like Palin.
