How can somebody get noticed for a 2012 Olympic track team?

  1. - Run an Olympic qualifying time

    - Consistently run fast times

    - Consistently finish top 3


  2. Ditto for all of the three previous answers before me.

    If you run fast (and I mean FAST), that will all take care of itself!  

    Also remember, USA Track and Field is the governing body that determines the fast times to qualify for just being invited to the Olympic Trials.  That's not even a guarantee even if you were to place in the Trials...you would still need to run an "Olympic 'A' Standard" time even to be consider to run in the Olympics.

  3. Here there are qualifying times that will allow you to compete in the Olympic trials.

    You only have to run good times to  be eligible to try out for the Olympic team. It is not a matter of getting noticed.  

  4. You have to be EXTREMELY fast and go to the big events. If you become really fast in your area then scouts will find you.
