How can someone be struck by lightning 7 times and survive?

I mean a building like the Empire State Building I can see that, it is only standing there but a person? Does anyone know how Roy Sullivan was struck by lightning 7 times, was he sitting around in a dangerous place waiting for it or what?

maybe he has a metal plate in his head. but to tell you the truth i don't think that any one could get struck by lighting 7 times in one life time. noppers.

lighnin is a eletrical charge that could be very very damagin to objects and humans and animals as well. i think why he got struck 7 x and lived is cuz (maybe it was pure luck)

What was he doing to get struck that many times? Was he holding metal rods in the middle of a lighting storm ? LOL What a Crazy guy !!! Its a bit hard to believe to be honest.

No one, including Roy, knew that until he was struck the 7th time that seven was indeed his lucky number. I'm afraid number 8 and Ol' Roy's a goner.
