How can someone buy liquors that aren't sold by their state's ABC stores? japanese whiskys, armangac, etc.

I love armangac and am dying to try some japanese whisky as well, plus i'd just like to have access to a larger variety of whiskeys and scotch. I live in North Carolina, selection's not terrible but I want some more choices! Does anyone know of an online resource, or even states that do sell these items so I can keep an eye out while traveling?

Check with your local store. They may be able to special-order it for you. Even Pennsylvania state stores will do that.
