I find it ludicrous that the wife of an AFL player could expect a player to sell his 1990 Brownlow Medal (along with his many other awards and team B+F's) as part of a divorce settlement. I am by no means a fan of Tony Liberatore. In fact, more the opposite!! However, the honor of being named a Brownlow Medalist is our highest individual prize. For someone to try and now take that honor away is in my opinion a very low act. Monetary value, in my opinion has very little to do with what a player has gone through to achieve this accolade. Even under the guise of providing for the future of their children, this is deplorable. I feel it is nothing to with money and more to do with "getting even"
Your thoughts?
