How can someone get to work if they have no car, friends to help out at the time, or mass transit, and their's

nothing within walking or biking distance? cabs are too expensive on a regular basis because it's a rural area, not a city. Driving is out of the question, and they can't afford a car.

    In texas we have Dial-A-Ride which my downsyndrome brother uses to get to school 3 times a week and that is in a town about 15 miles away. It is cheaper than a taxi. dont really know the specifics though.

  3. See if any of the people living around you are heading that way and pay them for the gas spent.  Then save enough to buy a quality used car.  Look at the car issue of consumer reports.  Good Luck
