Surely it is morally wrong to discriminate against a child based on the religion of their parents.Furthermore faith schools are divisive as can be seen in Northern Ireland and yet our government wants to expand the number of faith schools as they "provide an important contribution to integration".Is this not doublethink - segregation to help integration?I personally see no logic in this policy. They may perform well but this is likely due to their choosing middle class children as opposed to the religious influence itself improving performance.Am I alone in worrying about the long term consequences of this policy?Source:http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/education/article2409948.ece
