How can stop someone who logged into messenger on my p/c from being asked to log in instead of me on messenger

my friend used my laptop to check his e-mails now when I power up yahoo messenger invites him to log on instead of me.How do Iswitch his user name to mine

Set yourself up as the Administrator and him as a limited user. Password protect so he can't get into anything not allowed in his account.

After doing what he did I wouldn't let him use my computer again. A true friend doesn't do things like that. I a way he is showing power over you. If you like being used and abused, then keep letting him use it.
