  1. Because perfection is not attainable, if one hopes for perfection his hopes will be dashed.

"Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life."

    -Dr. David Burns

  2. It would be better to strive towards perfection as if you strive for perfection you only focus on the perfect state not seeing how things improve, not seeing the growth, not getting any sense of happiness from your improvements. This is a horrible state of mind, ruining for example many relationships as we ask too much from others or ourselves.

  3. Because either nature is perfect in what it is or perfection exists outside of nature and is not attainable in it. The word 'perfection' is a word variable for which any person may have different description and every human pursues the satisfaction for the needs present for them in their time of their life and notions of others may not identify those needs rightly.

  4. Perfection is unattainable. It is why Wiley Coyote spent so many years in therapy. Chasing what is beyond our grasp can drive us over the edge, even with the help of the Acme company bag of tricks.

  5. Its not perfection but the striving that is demoralising. Cease to strive and be happy, reconcile your mind to the present momentarily, and endeavor again when in a stronger and sounder frame of mind.

  6. Because nothing will ever be good enough for you. Absolute perfection is impossible... you would always see something you needed to fix, meaning you would never really feel accomplished. After a while, that would probably get really discouraging.

  7. ...just striving is demoralizing enough...

...PERFECTION...unless this is MATH...is in the eyes of the beholder too...

  8. Because it's a waste of time. It's not something anyone can do: to be perfect! There's always something imperfect.

  9. Perfection for the sake of perfection can be demoralizing.

It is the cause that determines the morality.

  10. Striving for perfection constantly will bombard your spirit, kill your morale and take the fun out of life . . . .then again I see this lady striving for perfection, constantly getting face-lifts, tummy tucks, and super sized implants just so she can be the best pole dancer in town. . . now if that's not demoralizing I don't know what is . . . .lol  lol

  11. When striving using underhand...that would after all, be in vain,

as that...would dismiss the basic meaning of perfection.

  12. sometimes perfection isn't even enough for a person..

they are in this battle that they can't even win or lose..

they set all these unrealistic goals for themselves and they are hurting nobody but themselves..

there is always something to fix..something that needs improvement..

it's really a cycle that never ends once you get caught up in it..

  13. cause some people HATE people who are perfect, they want to kill them, liek MLK, JFK ect. in the words of Socrates, if a good man trys to live a public life, u will die, he died, Jesus died. the worst of the worst hate the best of the best ♥ its also hard, to try to act perfect when ur not, cause ur expecting more of urself then u are, an u migth break down, dutn try to push urself, know when to say no, an stop an be by urself, an avoid situations that hurt u ♥

  14. That's intersting since the common world view of perfection is contrary to being MORAL.

  15. geez, I wonder what can be more boring than perfection???

imagine a situation in which you meet a... perfect man! He looks great, he cooks like a chef, he's artistic, he cleans, he's a stallion in bed, he loves all your moments, even the bad ones, he leaves you alone whenever you'd like to be alone, etc. Now, how long will it take you to resist not trying to create an argument, even a little one, just for the sake of... difference? How long will it take you to get bored of all his meals, of all his niceness, how long it will take you to... get to decipher him as if he was some type of clock with its mechanism moving in the same direction??? wouldn't you prefer anything else instead... something / someone which / who can actually CHANGE in time and keep you forever amazed?? someone... human?

for me... it would take less than a day...
