How can students learn when they expect others to give them answers?

Isn't this the same as cheating and taking the easy way out?

In life you will have to rely on yourself. If you can't figure it out now, what will you do later? There will come a time when you can't ask others to do your thinking, make decisions or do your work for you?

I guess you have never cheated or lied.

Seeking knowledge is not cheating nor is it the easy way out.

Ask, and you shall receive

They will still have to decipher if  the answer was truly correct.

I would question those who are teaching, for they are the ones that most likely take the easy way out by giving homework.

because sometimes students don't understand the problems and need other people to help them figure it out, and sometimes getting the answers they can figure out how to do it

I only use this system whenever I've no one to help me around. Otherwise, yes, I'd have someone help me. Just recently, I had confused myself on a graph and had no idea how to graph it, hence came to this system and asked, when I realized that it wasn't something that was needed to be graphed.

Anyway, while on topic, some people explain how the receive answers without providing one, which is good. And most people (at least, most people that I've seen) are using this site to learn rather than to have someone do their homework for them.

I guess it's just temporary. While in the real world, it's true that there won't be anyone to help us. But I guess that's for others to find out.

However, another valuable skill in life is to ask, too. We can't just count on ourselves for everything; there's nothing wrong to learn from other people.

how can students learn when there is no one to teach them? maybe they have learned how to ask which in many cases is a much more valuable skill. there has to be a balance. labeling learning from other students as cheating is harsh. In the real world, they will have peers who work together on projects to find the answer. They will use the internet, experts, and any help they can find. They will learn form their boss and other employees. In life you have to rely on others too.
