Most older people say that the future is in the hands of the younger generation, true because we will not only influence for the generations after us but shape it also! How as teenagers from 13 to 19 cut down on greenhouse gas emissions? How can little kids do it? How can EVERYONE DO IT??????

First of all realize that they have been predicting the end of the world since life began.

So do not loose sleep over it.

As for what you can do, well it sounds like you already know.

Reduce your consumption, you don't need new things, shop at thrift stores and find funky styles there. Get a nice tight booty by riding your bike every where.

The best thing you can do is encourage your folks to participate, recycle, get rid of all the poisons under the sink and encourage less water use. Tell your dad to mow in the evenings instead of mid day to reduce ozone emissions.

There are so many things to do!!!

The world is not going to end, it will take a long time for us to get to that point but it is urgent for you to educate and encourage every one you know, just don't get all religious about it.

Global Warming being man-induced has been incredibly over-stated.

There is no danger.  Please read the third paragraph of the second source I have supplied to see just how incredibly wrong and inaccurate the IPCC is in regard to global warming.  

Please, if nothing else, read that third paragraph about all the climate changes the computer models failed to predict or know of.

We can stop adding to emissions, but then we have already built up enough that we may already be passing a tipping point, a tipping point  that will carry earth along to that ice age.

What has to happen if we are already past, or approaching a tipping point? Not simply discuss reduction of emissions, we should be putting in place methods that will consume that CO2 from our atmosphere.

We really have a method for doing that, and it is not deep sea sequestration, not spending energy to  force it into oil wells. We have to get busy with water storage and delivery systems so that we can irrigate land for forests and orchards, nut farms, any trees that can convert our CO2 and water into wood and oxygen.

This is more than plant a tree in the desert  and watch it die from want of water. Remember, it is a tree that does the work, but that tree must have water to do it. The tree can not  do it without that water.

The water for irrigation also limits the rise in temperature, in the irrigated forest  but over the whole continent.

Get this planned. That is going to take all the time we have available. Do not wait for democracy to decide to do it, Study the issue, know all that needs to be done, and use the Internet to share the planning work.

it's unstoppable. as third world countries have about..... what.... 10 kids per family? they will start to develop and emit more gases themselves. and by that time the icecaps will have melted and global warming will be a runaway train. and that will be as early as.... well... 2050? earlier?

and sea levels will rise... so millions of coastal city people will be refugees. we have a hard time dealing with 10,000 refugees, just imagine more than 10,000,000.
